Our history
From our start in Geumsan, Chungcheongnam-do in 2021 to high-content ginsenoside materials, our journey has been built on technology, year by year.
Since 2021
We started in Geumsan in 2021
Hongbaek Agricultural Company Corporation (농업회사법인 주식회사 홍백) was established on December 10, 2021 at 352 Masu-ro, Geumseong-myeon, Geumsan County, Chungcheongnam-do. Choi Myung-jin and Hong Doo-pyo serve as the two co-representative directors, and the capital is KRW 2.006 billion.
We began exporting black ginseng concentrate to Japan in June 2023 (company record). In 2024 we were designated an agriculture-industry-commerce convergence SME and completed the Geumsan plant in September, with 4,497 sqm of land and 2,185 sqm of factory floor area. In November of the same year we also began exporting black ginseng to Vietnam (company record).
In 2025 we registered a dedicated research department in July and received a health functional food business license and GMP certification in September. In December of that year we filed a product manufacturing report for red ginseng concentrate at 60 mg/g, and in January of the following year for freeze-dried red ginseng concentrate powder at 100 mg/g, both on a combined Rg1 + Rb1 + Rg3 basis.

The product manufacturing reports in the history above cover the two health functional food materials we supply to other businesses. Red Ginseng Concentrate 60 is product manufacturing report certificate No. 202500286917, and Red Ginseng Concentrate Powder 100 mg/g is No. 202500286918.
The KOGIN Red Ginseng Stick and Black Ginseng Stick of the consumer brand are ordinary food products, labeled as liquid tea, and they have a separate manufacturer. We therefore do not carry the material reports or the plant's equipment over into the function or the manufacturing process of the KOGIN finished products.
