At a glance
At a glance
Both KOGIN Red Ginseng Stick and KOGIN Black Ginseng Stick are made as 12 g individual sticks, and no separate time of day has been set for taking them.
'Stick' refers to the shape of the pack
The word 'stick' on the front of the pack means an individual pouch that is opened and consumed in one go. Both KOGIN Red and KOGIN Black have a food type of liquid tea.
Even when the name says ginseng stick, the amount to take can differ from product to product. When you take a different product, follow the intake instructions printed on that product's pack.
What the pack says about how to take it
We put 12 g in each stick, and the pack states how many times a day it is taken. The '12 g' is the weight of that stick, and the other figure is the count for a day, so the two do not get confused when you read them together.
| Wording on the pack | KOGIN product | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Food type | liquid tea | the food category the product belongs to |
| Intake per serving | As directed on the box | the amount taken at one time |
| Times per day | As directed on the box | how many times it is taken in a day |
| Net content | 10 sticks | the number of individual pouches in the box |
No timing before or after a meal is stated
KOGIN does not specify a time such as morning, evening, before meals or after meals. We therefore cannot say that any particular time is preferable.
If you are taking medication or have a medical condition and are wondering about when to take it, it is worth asking a medical professional for guidance that fits your own situation.
Check the condition of the pack before you open it
Do not consume a stick that is leaking, swollen, or has come apart at the sealed seam. Do not put the pack in a microwave as it is, and open it carefully so that the edges do not cut your hands.
Drink a stick as soon as you have opened it, as the pack instructs.
If you miss a serving
The box does not instruct you to add a missed intake to the next one. Follow the labeled amount per serving at the next intake rather than making up your own catch-up rule.
If you need to adjust how much you take because of your schedule, take the box with you and ask a medical professional for guidance that fits your own situation.
If you took more than the label shows, or you feel uncomfortable
It is better not to increase the amount beyond what the label shows. If you have taken more by mistake, or feel discomfort that is different from usual, stop taking it and watch how you feel.
If it is hard to judge, or the discomfort continues, it is good to speak with a medical professional. If you give the product name, the time you took it, and the amount you took, the consultation becomes far more accurate. Bringing the box with you helps as well.
Avoid the product if you are allergic to ginseng. If you have sensitivities or a medical condition, consult a medical professional before consuming the product.
Red and Black have the same intake amount
Red and Black are the same at 12 g per stick. The food type and the pack size in one box are the same too: liquid tea, 10 sticks.
Even with the same 12 g stick, the ingredient makeup is clearly different. Red is made from two ingredients, red ginseng powder from Korea at saponin 40 mg/g or more, 15%, and purified water. Black has four: black ginseng powder from Korea at the same 40 mg/g or more grade, 12%, plus fructooligosaccharide, xanthan gum, and purified water.
The 40 mg/g or more figure is a standard set at the powder stage of the raw material, not a figure for one finished stick. For the raw ginseng as well, Red is 100% red ginseng root body and Black is 100% black ginseng root body, so both products blend the root and mix in no other parts such as leaves or stems.
