At a glance
At a glance
For KOGIN Red Ginseng Stick, start with the labeling on the back rather than the impression made by the front. The food type is liquid tea. Each stick contains 12 g; an inner box holds 10 sticks totaling 120 g. The sales set is an outer box containing three inner boxes, totaling 30 sticks and 360 g.
Seven items checked on the box
We collected the items printed on the box in order, looking at the red product alone. Reading the table in this order keeps the figures in different fields from being mixed up.
| Check item | Contents printed on the box |

| Food type | liquid tea |
| Net content | 12 g x 10 sticks, total 120 g |
| Ingredient name | Red ginseng powder 15%, purified water |
| Ginseng parts used | 100% red ginseng root body |
| Nutrition per stick | 5 kcal, carbohydrate 1 g |
| Intake | As directed on the box |
| Labeled parties | The manufacturer and the seller are listed separately |
The 15% and the 100% are different standards
'Red ginseng powder 15%' is the share that red ginseng powder takes up among the ingredients of the finished product. 'Ginseng parts used, 100% red ginseng root body' is the blending of the parts of the raw ginseng used in that powder. The two standards differ, so it is more accurate not to read them as 'the finished product as a whole is 100% red ginseng'.
The origin marking is read in the same way. The box lists the red ginseng powder as of Korean origin. We do not narrow down where the raw material was grown only because our company and plant are in Geumsan, Chungcheongnam-do.
Read the nutrition information per stick
The nutrition information for red is shown per one 12 g stick as 5 kcal and carbohydrate 1 g. Please do not add the figures on the front of the box to the per-stick figures on your own, and check only the clearly printed per-stick basis.
Even when you look at several boxes together, the basis for the nutrition information is one 12 g stick. Please do not mix the total net content of the outer box, 360 g, with the weight of one stick, and check the unit attached to the nutrition information before you read the figures.
The intake amount and the storage are as written
KOGIN Red is meant to be taken as the directions printed on the box say. Please read the number of times a day and the amount taken at one time as two separate points. We have not set a timing such as morning or evening, or before or after a meal.
Store it at room temperature in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Please keep it away from a kitchen heat source and away from a window where sunlight stays long, and place the sticks where they will not be crushed or torn.
Please do not keep an opened stick; drink it right away.
The place of manufacture and the place of sale are different roles
The box lists the manufacturer and the seller separately. Our company, Hongbaek Agricultural Company Corporation (농업회사법인 주식회사 홍백), is labeled as the seller of this product, and KOGIN is the consumer brand.
Hongbaek has a separate business that handles materials, but we do not describe those facilities and equipment as part of the production process of this finished product. Please read the roles exactly as they are written on the box.
More is confirmed in the detailed labeling
The same content as on the back of the box can also be seen in the detailed product labeling. There, the product manufacturing report number, the addresses of the manufacturer and the seller, and the consumer inquiries number are printed together.
The product manufacturing report number for red is 20080467100196. The manufacturer is (주)진산사이언스 (167 Songnim-gil, Gunbuk-myeon, Geumsan County, Chungcheongnam-do), the seller is our Hongbaek Agricultural Company Corporation (농업회사법인 (주)홍백) (352 Masu-ro, Geumseong-myeon, Geumsan County, Chungcheongnam-do), and the consumer inquiries number is 041-753-0500.
The net content in the detailed labeling is written as 120 g (12 g x 10 sticks) x 3 boxes. One inner box holds 12 g x 10 sticks, 120 g in total, which is the same as on the back of the box.
| Check item | Contents written in the detailed labeling |
|---|---|
| Net content | 120 g (12 g x 10 sticks) x 3 boxes |
| Ingredients and amounts | Red ginseng powder (saponin 40 mg/g or more, Korean origin) 15%, purified water |
| Nutrition | 5 kcal, carbohydrate 1 g per 12 g stick |

| Consumer inquiries | 041-753-0500 |
The cautions and the exchanges and returns are printed as well
The cautions to read before consuming are exactly as printed on the box. Individual sensitivities may cause an unwanted reaction. Take care when consuming the product, and stop if you notice any unwanted symptoms.
Exchanges and returns follow Korea's Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards. If the place of purchase has its own separate guidance, please check that as well.
We can confirm only the items stated on the box and in the detailed labeling.
Read the parentheses after red ginseng powder to the end
The ingredient name for red is 'red ginseng powder (saponin 40 mg/g or more, Korean origin) 15%, purified water'. After the name red ginseng powder, a parenthesis opens, and inside it are the saponin marking and the Korean origin marking together. The 15% that comes after the closing parenthesis is still part of the red ginseng powder item.
When you copy the labeling, please write the powder name, the parentheses, and the percentage as one group. If you take 'saponin 40 mg/g or more' on its own and attach it as if it were the content of one stick, the sentence no longer matches what is printed on the box.
After the next comma, purified water follows. '100% red ginseng root body' is not a value inside this ingredient name sentence; it is a value written in the separate ginseng blending ratio field. Please do not merge the two fields into one sentence, and read the full ingredient name and the blending ratio separately.
This is how the inner box marking and the outer box set fit together
The KOGIN Red Ginseng Stick we sell comes in a single outer box. Inside it are three inner boxes of 10 sticks, and each inner box holds 10 sticks of 12 g, 120 g in total. The whole outer box holds 30 sticks and the net content is 360 g.
So if you see the 120 g marking and think that the whole item for sale is 10 sticks, you have read only the marking of one inner box. In the other direction, please do not look at the 30 stick set and write the inner box marking as 30 sticks. The 10 sticks belongs to the inner box, and the 30 sticks belongs to the sales set of three boxes.
When you note the box information, write 'inner box: 12 g x 10 sticks, 120 g' and 'sales outer box: three inner boxes, 30 sticks, 360 g' separately. There is no need to delete or correct either of the two net contents; just note which package each one is printed on.
The markings that differ when read next to black
KOGIN Red Ginseng Stick and KOGIN Black Ginseng Stick have the same stick and inner-box specifications. Their ingredient lists, ginseng blending ratios and nutrition information per stick differ. Check the field name and product name together to avoid copying Black figures when reading the Red box.
The powder labels in the table below are copied with their parentheses. The powder content and the ginseng blending ratio are placed on separate lines, which is to distinguish the two items on the box. In black, fructooligosaccharide, xanthan gum, and purified water follow the powder, so please read the ingredient name to the last item.
| Display item | KOGIN Red | KOGIN Black |
|---|---|---|
| Ingredient name | Red ginseng powder (saponin 40 mg/g or more, Korean origin) 15%, purified water | Black ginseng powder (saponin 40 mg/g or more, Korean origin) 12%, fructooligosaccharide, xanthan gum, purified water |
| Ginseng parts used | 100% red ginseng root body | 100% black ginseng root body |
| Nutrition per stick (12 g) | 5 kcal, carbohydrate 1 g | 10 kcal, carbohydrate 2 g, sugars 1 g |
